Open Clipart in Illustrator?

Hello,

I'm running Illustrator CS and Corel 11.
I have corel clipart versions 7 & 11.

Illustrator can open corel 10 files and under. BUT when i try to open 'clipart version 7' into illustrator it says unknown format, cannot be opened! And yet that file is from clipart VERSION 7!

Please can someone help me? At the moment i have to first open my clipart 7 in corel and the copy to clipboard and then paste into Illustrator. Which can be a hassle when i have lots to do!
