Open an email address in outlook by default 1

I have an access table with an email address field.

The datatype is hyperlink. At the moment it trys to open in internet explorer. I want it to open in Outlook.

I know it works if you put 'mailto:emai@address'.

Is there a way that I can have the mailto: element hidden or defaulted. The email address in the form looks messy with the 'mailto:' prefix.

You can place a transparent command button over the email textbox.

Application.FollowHyperlink "mailto:" & fldEmailAddress
