open an attachment

When I recieve an email w/a word attachment, my blackberry device is not recognize that the email has an attachment to it. I dont see the paper clip icon next to the message.
I used to be able to open the attachment before w/the bb device from my previous job, but not now. Could it be becasue of the plan that I chose?
We are running BES 4.1 and my BB device model is 7130e.

Lets start with the basics. Does the BES have an attachment service running and does the handheld have the BlackBerry Attachment Service module loaded (OPTIONS > ADVANCED > APPLICATIONS > BLACKBERRY ATTACHMENT SERVICE)?

I think I got it figured out. If an attachment is more than 2MB, the paper clip is not there. is there a way to change that?

Sounds like your Admin has put a size limit on the attachments that the BES can process.
