I've posted about this in tehe ProClarity forum, but having slept on it I'm not sure it is a ProClarity issue.
I can open .cub's created in SSAS 2000 with no problems, but cubs created in SSAS 2005 appear to be empty.
My techie support is convinced this is an OLEDB issue, but I have installed every bit of stuff I can find on the MS website to try and sort this out.
So far:
dotnetfx.exe
msxml6.msi
pts9.msi
SQLServer2005_ADOMD.msi
SQLServer2005_ASOLEDB9.msi
and then I tried to install
SQLServer2005SP2-KB921896-x86-ENU.exe
but this failed, which doesn't surprise me as I don't have SSAS installed at all.
The data I need has to be delivered as a local cube as it then gets sent on to client sites who also do not have SSAS installed.
I just can't open them new critters any way at all!
The only success we have had so far is in opening them on a machine that has MS Office 2007 installed (rather than 2003 which is what I have).
Surely Office 2007 is not a pre-requisite for using .cub's created in SSAS 2005?
If anyone has any clarification on this I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks.

The question should be [red]Is it worth trying to do?[/red] not [blue] Can it be done?[/blue]
