Hey peeps,

How can I do this? Our office uses a piece of software provided by an external party, with an Internet Explorer interface. The software won't work if accessed through Netscape, and more importantly won't work if opened with Lotus Notes, which is basically Internet Explorer viewed through a different window, isn't it?

How can I create a button, link, hotspot etc. in Notes which, when clicked, will open a fresh, clean, INTERNET EXPLORER (Not Notes) window for this app?

You could change the default browser on the client (Location preferences > Internet Browser). If it refuses to use IE then choose 'Other' as the browser and then specify the path to iexplore.exe.

It said Windows 2000 or better, so I bought a Mac

The problem is that sometimes that reverts, and our users don't usually know how to alter things like that. Also, a few of our users' Notes installations are performed by non-IT staff, who can't be relied upon to set such things correctly.

What I really need is just a Javascript method to open a new window! I know it can be done, because I have used Notes web browsing, and had external pop-ups; what is the code that creates these pop-ups?!
