open a form at a new record

how do i do this?

all my forms open at the first record, i would like them to open at a new record.

in the form properties, set DATA ENTRY to YES.

i am sorry, to be more specific, i want all records to be returned, but the form set to a new record.

the setting of the data entry to yes, will give a blank record only

In the Open event for the form, use

       DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec

although i cannot understand why, some of the forms in this application do open to a new record without the code being inserted, am i missing something here?
