Open a custom PPT template in normal view

I have created a custom Power point template for my users.
I used slide master and saved it as a .POT file. My problem is, when I go to create a new presentation from that template, it opens it up in Slide Master view. Can anyone tell me how to save it so that it will open up in Normal view? I am using office 2000, and I will keep the template on the network so that all of my users will have access to it.

Nevermind....
I just answered my own question: Go to normal view, and then save it.
