When we try to create over 995 print jobs in the spooler, we get the message no space to allocate temp files.

Found that you can increase the limit over the default of 999 prints in the /usr/spool/lp/temp/.SEQF file but this is not recommended, as it can cause unexpected errors.

Why do you have that many jobs spooled but unprinted?
You might be able to define a second printer name for the same printer and send half of your jobs to that, it depends on what kind of printer you are using and how it is being accessed. Is this a network printer, a terminal printer, or an attached printer?
