I have an OP11C w/ ver. 24.24 and MerMail Card Option NT6R16AA w/ ver. 12.14 installed. The switch seems to warm start after 7 days and the MerMail goes into LALA land and never completes rebooting. The switch seems to recover but the MerMail does not. Resetting the switch and MerMail does not help at all. The MerMail just sits there, shows some disc activity, but nothing else. The only way we have found to get the system back in operation is to power down the cabinet, wait a minute or so and power-on-cold-start. I have not been able to login remotely to look at the history file. The last time I was on prem I displayed the history on screen and noticed the warm start condition. Before this observance I was thinking the MerMail was the only problem. Another thing I noticed when the system is booting it says some files or patches are missing. Could this be part of the problem? Also I was told that this software version or processor may have some sort of bug that causes the system to stop working over time. In certain instances I have noticed when going off hook on a 2616 for example -NO DIALTONE-, then it finally comes on, and this was the only phone in use!

Anyone have some suggestions or what direction to go?

Thanks for any helpful ideas!

I know there was some issues in RLS 24 (not sure which version though) I would start with your distributor. Good luck.

it takes a long time for mail to reboot first of all and if you login to your meridian switch before the mail has a chance to establish the link between them.....it will halt the loading of mail.. upon a reboot dont touch it or login the swtches for 15 20 mins sometimes. I would definatley get your vendor involved! what you are describing isnot normal operation.

when you say "warm start" it's really an ini000 right?

otherwise describe what warmstart means.

if your system is INIing then something is going on that your vendor should have no prob. fixing...if you have no vendor i will need to have a print out of the "AHST" file

ld 20

req prt
type ahst

then post it. k
