OO Database vs M$ Access 1

I just recently got back into using Linux at home. Updon using OO a little more, I found the Database. At work I develop Access databases.

My question is simple, how does OO compare??

I've no idea how it compares (I haven't used MS Office for several years), but since it's a new feature for OpenOffice, I would be not be inclined to entrust it with mission-critical work, unless you are just using it to link to a server back-end.
 
I will do some researching on OOBase and see if I can dig up mroe info. According to OO's website, the forms do not work due to M$ Access using VBA, but the tables and queries will...
