I need to figure out if the user closed the browser or not, that way I can use a cgi script to figure out who's logged in or logged out. Does the onunload function works? If so, is it gonna work on Netscape too? Thanks for your time. There is no Knowledge, That is not power.

Aaron,

I'm not sure if you posted this question on another forum, but I'll basically tell you what we all came up with over there.

The onUnload function works great in IE and NS for many different solutions. Only your's has some problems. Unfortunately, the onUnload method fires every time the page unloads, including refresh, navigation, etc...

I thought about it heavily for an alternate solution, and continued to run into barriers.

Sorry.

yea, if TW "talks"(writes) about thread216-147910 then Aaron, you should check starblood's post from 16.10.01, s/he posts the solution that was found there.. Victor
