ontape backup

I use ontape –s –L 0 command to backup informix database on unixsco. From time o time I fail with the following message

Archive failed - buc_fe.c : Archive API processing failed at line 241 for msgtype

Program over.

Does anyone have any idea how I can fix the problem and what is the cause?
