Only works when debugging

I'm working in Flash 10 but outputting for flash 8 player. I Recently upgraded from Flash 8. Everything was working previously, but I'm not certain the upgrade is the problem. My swf works when I'm in preview mode or when the file is embedded in my site but is in debugging mode. But if I turn off debugging and embed the file in the site some (maybe all ) of the functionality seems to be off.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

What do you mean by "debugging mode"?

If you are outputting to Flash 8 (AS1/2) you cannot use any of the Flash 10 features anyway, so may be worth switching back to Flash 8.

It's fixed now. By debugging mode I mean that if you go into settings and choose to allow debugging it worked.

Switching back was not an option.

The problem, if memory serves, seemed to be a particular conditional if, then gotoAndPlay statement that for some reason worked differently when in debugging mode. I'll post later if I dredge up the problem. For now I just isolated and changed it.
