1.Is it possible to make links on the desktop, and howto?

2.My Linux screen is bigger than my monitor when I use
640x480 or 800x600, but 1024x768 is normal but very small!
Is it possible too make it normal with 640x480 or 800x600?

3.Howto start the games? With BASH it doesn't work and when
I type the name on the root either! Howto let them work?

Sorry for my bad English it's because I'm duth!!!

1) depend on your desktop manager (gnome, kde, ...)
2) look into /etc/X11/XF86Config, scroll to the bottom , find settings for your server (accel, svga, vga,...) and then edit the lines Resolution and Virtual.
If U have more resolution modes and no virtual, U'll always get Virtual with the highest resolution.
3)which ones?

Hi,

1) I think the only thing you can probably do is to add to the menus by editing the config file which is $HOME/.fvwm95rc or $HOME/.fvwm2rc95 (earlier versions). Here is an example --> .

2) Just look for the the 'display' subsection of the 'screen' part of your XF86Config file and remove the "1024x768" part - It will look something like :

SubSection "Display"
Depth 16
Modes "800x600" "640x480"
EndSubSection

There might also be a line in that block like :

Virtual 1024 768

which you should obviously change accordingly or delete.

3) If you know the name of the rpm that contained the game(s) you can find out the path of the installed files by doing :

rpm -ql rpmname

to find out the complete list of installed rpms do :

rpm -qa

Hope this helps
