Only some images displaying in Outlook and Thunderbird email clients

I am using Outlook 2007 and Thunderbird 17.0.8 under Windows 7. My browser is Firefox 25.0. Recently, I installed a popup blocker. Unfortunately, I don't recall for sure which one, but it might have been AdBlock Plus. Finding that it seemed to be interfering with functions I wanted, I deleted it. Since then, whenever I receive email on my Outlook or my Thunderbird email accounts, some but not all of the images it might contain fail to display. (The non-displaying images seem to be icons.) If I forward these emails to my Yahoo email account, all images display. Can someone suggest how to fix this?
