Hi guys,
I'm having trouble with my monitor, its currently displaying the full desktop, but only on about half the screen. the central part is showing everything, but to either side is just total blackness.
I've tried adjusting the size with the buttons on the front of the monitor, but strecthing the screen does nothing (trying to extend/shrink the screen on the vertical axis is fine, its just horizontal that won't work)
Any ideas on what is wrong? And more importantly can it be fixed??
Thanks in advance
David

If possible, connect a different monitor to your system, or connect your monitor to another system.
If another monitor works ok on your system, or your monitor has the same problem on another system, then your monitor is probably bad.

If another monitor has the same problem on your system, or your monitor works ok on another system, then make sure your system is using the same resolution, refresh rate, and color depth that are normally used.

If that's ok, then uninstall and reinstall the video card drivers.

If no luck, then try different drivers from the video card manuf's site.
