Hi,I have a laptop on our LAN, (TCP/IP) W2K, everything is configured correctly, but as of this morning, I can't access all the websites, i.e. Yahoo.com comes up but without the graphics.
The connection to my Lan is fine, e-mail is working fine, but when I try different websites (I tried the same websites from other PC's connected without a problem) it says server not found.
It is a laptop Dell Latitude (about 6 month old), with Docking Station.
I tried new Cat5 cable, still no luck.
I re-entered the settings a few times, docked and undocked still same problem.
How can I test or replace the NIC card on a docking station, if anyone thinks that could be the issue.
Nothing changed, no new software installed etc.
Any ideas, thanks,

This doesn't sound like a hardware issue at all.

Since you say that you can load a webpage such as yahoo without graphics it sounds like you may have some things disabled in your browser settings, i.e. scripting. Sometimes if javascript ,referers, or cookies are disabled, a webpage wont load at all. If you have a personal firewall such as Norton, you might want to check script allow settings also.

Hope this helps.

If, as you say, nothing has changed, check your temporary internet files and cache settings. If the cache becomes full, it can sometimes cause images or graphics to not appear.
See this link:

Also, just to be on the safe side, check Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Multimedia and make sure the settings to display graphics are turned on anbd the setting to just display a placeholder is turned off.

Hope that helps. [yinyang] What goes around - comes around. [wink]
