Only get the 'grab' hand in CS3...

Hi!

Sometimes when I load CS3 no matter what tool I select it seems to be stuck on the grab hand function! Everything else seems to work fine, so it hadn't crashed.

When it did this on me yesterday, I quit CS3 and loaded PS6 which I still have installed, and exactly the same problem occured with that too! I have never had an issue with PS6.

The only solution I know is to reboot the computer, but anyone know what may be causing this problem? It doesn't happy very often so not a major issue.

...number of possibilities ad many people have reported this problem...

...some suggestions refer to memory cache of photoshop so try the edit > purge > all...

...setting the memory cache to level 4 and memory usage to 75%...

...other tries are:

...hit the spacebar or caps lock key sometimes gets things back to normal...

...try a different keyboard if you have one...

...try edit > preferences > general > reset all warning dialogues...

...also try command/control + alt/option + shift key on launch of photoshop to reset preference files...

...also ensure you have the latest updates too:
