Hello!

I am having an issue where one of my end users is trying to call a number that is long distance. She will dial 9,1, followed by the rest of the number but the IP Office seems to cut her off trying to dial the first 6 digits dialed instead of waiting for the rest. I have tried creating custom routing but this still does not work. I have diverted her back to the standard ARS tables. Below is what the IPO does after the 6 digit in the number is dialed.

What location?
What dial delay count and timers (looks to be 1 second) are set?
You could change the 1N; to 1XXXXXXXXXX
If dial timer is set to 1 second I would increase it as it sounds like the user may be dialling too slowly, so the system is thinking the user has finished dialling.

It's because you are using dial delay count on the system and you haven't built an ARS that will wait for the full number, if using dial delay count the ; character is ignored in user and system shortcodes and it only works in ARS tables :)

dial_delay_time: 1000 has expired - Resolve what we might have "

Dial delay time is set to 1 second. Increase this or ask her to dial faster.

I am going to tell her she needs to dial faster :)

I set the dial delay to 5 seconds and will see how that goes. I figured that had something to do with it but wanted to seeamriddle or tlpeter had to say. She is talking to a customer I will let you guys know how it goes. Thanks for the help!

I haven't had any of my avaya certs renewed since 2012. Maybe it is time to take some new courses [tiphat]

Don't forget using an ARS table gives you a second dial delay timer, that can be different to the rest of the system so no need to slow everyone else's normal calls :)

I would recommend to enable enbloc dialling on the user's phone. You can find it somewhere under funct.\call settings.

So she can dial the number but the call will be initiated when she lifts the handset and not when she starts dialling.
