Only .com E-mail addresses getting out?

I'm running E2k over a W2k platform. Is there a setting that I need to change in order to E-mail out to a .net or a .org address? someone@domain.com works great but we're having problems E-mailing out with someone@domain.net or someone@domain.org E-mail addresses. Could anyone shed some light on this subject? The error messages reference a "delay" and then about a day later it comes back as "undeliverable". I can E-mail the same address fine from my Yahoo account.

Check your address space.

In ESM go to the routing group / site name / conectors / your SMTP connector, right-click select properties.

Be sure the address space is * and not .com

OK. I've got Type: SMTP Address: * Cost: 1
Everything looks OK in the SMTP properties. Could it be anything else?

Oh wait a minute...there's an unchecked check box. What does "Allow messages to be relayed to these domains" do on the Address Space tab? (We've only got one domain, and the Connector scope is set to "Entire organization&quot

Hi,
I am also having the same problem. As far as a connector is concerned, we don't have one setup. The default SMTP virtual server is set to forward all external emails to our firewall which sends the messages out.

The emails such as someone@something.somewhere.uk are not leaving the SMTP virtual server.

I have set the undelivereable messages tab to go to the firewall, but to na avail.

Do I need to set up a connector? I have tried, but it doesn't seem to work!

From my Exchange Server C:\prompt

C:\nslookup
*** Can't find server name for address 192.168.1.10 (this is my server) : Non-existent domain
*** Default servers are not available
Default server: Unknown
Address: 192.168.yada yada yada

If I need to enable nslookup I'll need some help doing this.

Also, I can ping the IP address of the domain azabc.org fine but I can not ping just the azabc.org domain (leading me to believe there is some kind of problem with DNS as I can not resolve the name to the IP address)

I can also run nslookup from a University server that is set up to do this and get all of the information for azabc.org...I just can't do it from my server.

The error above is because you don't have reverse lookup zone.
