What I'd like to know is if there is a way for multiple users to sync different folders to a file server and reflect the latest change.

For example:

User1 and User2 are both editing the same document in FolderA located on ServerZ. User1 finishes first but User2 is still editing. After User2 finishes, they would like to sync that document to reflect the changes that both users have made.

Is this possible?

Maybe what you need is a repository, not a file system. I'd take a look at CVS.

Btw, I wouldn't expect two users to open simultaneously the same shared resource with write permissions.

Cheers,
Dian

I would. Two of our users work on the same folder everyday.
