Hi all.
I have a onex portal server on the same server as IP Office primary server edition with many expansion systems.
I want the onex portal to be there only for the primary server and not the expansion systems.
I keep deleting the expansion systems from the providers and they keep coming back.I have auto provisioning unchecked.
How can I dedicate the onex portal to the primary server only?

Just checking if there is someone who can assist with this.

Are you deleting the IP office expansion units under the config tab?
Then after you delete pressing the "Put" Button?
The go to status page and delete Unit.
You may need to restart One X or reboot server.

I understood that onex portal accounts for all users attached to the solution.
It will scan for new users and expansion control units and add users accordingly.

This is how it works with a server edition.
Deal with it.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Both CarGoSki and Tlpeter I am sorry but don't understand your posts? can you clarify?

You can delete all the Providers from One X portal. Then add then add just the ones you want.

I am in process of working with Avaya on an issue and they had me delete all of my providers and add them back in one by one.
Hasn't fixed my issue but was able to do it.. LOL

With a server edition this seems to be how it works.
The system should appear to be one big system thus the providers are there and will come back when you delete them.

Strange... With the release of R9.1 they told that you can enable and disable the auto creation of providers AND that every system will only be added once and not a second or third (or... ) time.

The system I am on is 9.0.8.

I am able to delete and add units

@NYSTECH

Where do you see the information that deleting expansion control unit providers in onex portal is a supported event for a server edition solution?

The Avaya support engineer had me do it to try to resolve an issue I have.. No documentation was provided so whether it is supported or not I do not know..

Is your goal to prevent One-X users from seeing status information for users on the other IPOs who aren't on One-X? If that is the case, I believe you could control this by setting up XMPP groups.

@NYSTECH

Best I could find is this reference: For more information about how to configure the details of the Server Edition Expansion System as Telephony (CSTA) provider and (DSML IP-Office) provider, see the Administration section of the Implementing Server Edition Expansion System document.

....and then cant find the doc that is referenced.

I am having same issue with deleting provider and it comes back then fills up my cpu on server and it crashes.

anyone find a fix? please let me know

On the One-x Portal Administrator page. On the Configuration-->Auto Provisioning Tab is Enable Auto Provisioning ticked?

If it is untick it.

Follow the steps and check it it works:
1. Disable Auto provisioning from one-X Admin -> Configuration (this might require one-X Portal server restart, not entirely sure)
2. From one-X Admin -> Configuration -> Providers -> Delete CSTA and DSML provider entries corresponding to the unwanted IP Office units.
3. From One-X Admin -> Health -> Component Status -> Delete the component status records corresponding to the unwanted IP Office units.
4. Restart one-X Portal service.

This should fix the issue. If not, Avaya support should be the one to contact.
