OneX Desktop Client - Error 1722 during installation

Hi guys,

I hope someone can help me:

I have a customer (running on 8.0(16), just in case anyone wants to know ;D) with OneX Portal. During the initial implementation we installed the OneX Desktop Client on every PC in the office and all went well.
Now, over one year later, my customer started getting the following error during the installation of OneX Desktop Client:
(Sidenote: In this case the PC is running Microsoft Office 2010 on Win7 64bit)

Does anyone know this error and how to resolve it?

We ran into this internally when trying to install on the Developer's machines that had Visual Studio installed. Do the users have VS installed?
 
Suggestions:
Delete all in the %temp% folder and try again
Install as Administrator
Disable UAC
Get a new copy of the installer
 
This was a known issue with the installer that came with certain versions of OXP.
Check out Tech Tip 248. It details how to replace the dodgey installer file with the correct one. I can't see the replacement installer on the support site anymore. So it might just be easier to upgrade to later build...8.0(66) is the latest available for the IPO and the matching OXP version is 8.0.108(21)
