We are seeing some issues when using 802.1x authentication via RADIUS servers and 9641G desk phones that have PCs connected to the switch port on the back of the phone. Question... If the supplicant is set to Unicast/Multicast and the pass-through is set to enabled with logoff, do the phones have to authenticate FIRST with RADIUS before the PC can authenticate? It sounds logical that this would be true, I'm just verifying. What if both the phone and the PC are authenticated with the Cisco switchport they are connected to, but then the PC fails, or it's RADIUS account is disabled. At the next interval, if the PC then becomes disabled, does it also disable the phone since they are actually connected to the same switch port?
