I am creating a college hire report where I need to identify all new hires that graducated from college within a year of their hire date. Do you have a suggestion on how to approach this?

I am pulling EDUCATION.EARNED_DT and EMPLOYMENT.HIRE_DT into my report. Do I create a derived field, employ a formula, etc?

What if you created a SQL Derived field named X like this:

(EDUCATION.EARNED_DT - EMPLOYMENT.HIRE_DT)

Then used a Selection Critera like:

Derived Field X is between -365 and 365

That would get you people that graducated from college up to a year before and after they started work.
