Arg, too much time wasted on this :-(

Login to IP:8080/onexportal.html no problem

Use One X Mobile with same credentials: "Invalid User Credentials"

Browse to : "password mismatch"

Seriously? Been through a number of reboots and this was working before. Yes, my presence domain name is in there ;-)

Thoughts?

If its on linux, turn up the logging levels in "diagnostics" and in something like /opt/Avaya/oneXportal/9.restofreleasestring/apache-tomcat/logs there are rolling log files that might give you a clue what's buggering it up

Ever tried to read them? It is Avayan to me...

Honestly, they logs help! most of them start with "ERROR" or "FATAL" or "WARNING"

even just a "grep -r "FATAL" /opt/Avaya/oneXportal/9.1/apache-tomcat/logs" might actually tell you what about the process is having a hard time starting up.

Besides, if you have a problem and you're dealing with Avaya, you might save yourself a week of waiting if you can narrow it down to a more specific problem.

TBH I never needeed the logs but I did do a quick look and they were looking cryptic but maybe I could have taken a better look

probably in catalina.out. It's the most recent logging file for your apache tomcat. An upside is that it shouldn't be Avaya's logging mechanisms in there and just general Tomcat. Tomcat is the application server that runs Java applications, which in Avaya's case is One-X Portal. I would think there's some "FATAL" or "ERROR" message in there that might explain why it didn't want to start

It are the rolling log files to look in as Kyle mentioned.
I've seen them but as said as I had no errors the logs seemed to hold nonsens to me.

Do a locate or find command to locate the files.
