Hey guys,

have a question, trying to figure this one out.

SETUP: IPO 9.1 with preferred, vm pro & one x is setup and running smoothly.

ISSUE: for users that are permanently remote, what would be the best way for them to be able to dial with a headset connected through VPN.

STEPS TAKEN / THOUGHTS: on individual laptops, cisco anyconnect and communicator works perfectly. For users that work in a 2016 RD environment, communicator doesnt work in the sense you cannot have multiple instances running through different user profiles.

i tried communicator vdi but that needs different licensing and upgrading to R11 is not an option on this IPO.

using the onex portal i can log in as a user but cannot dial out and cant seem to find/change the settings to dial if possible. What i've tested is use the ipo onex app on an android with cisco AC connected and logged in with an extension. in that way, when you dial a number from the web, it dials through the app and connects the call. is there a way to eliminate that or is there another solution?

As an update the way i got this to work was to run communicator on the physical laptop/desktop and use the onex portal when a user is logged in to their VPN/RD account. Using the onex portal, the user can make/receive calls through the portal via communicator as the phone.

Thank you for posting a resolution.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
