One-X Portal populate additional user fields

Using 1XP 8.0 which works fine for data from the IPO. I'd like to add a mobile phone number to the user (which is populated from IPO) but I can't see any fields in the IPO to do this. I logged into 1XP as Administrator and under Configuration > Users > Edit > IM/Presence configuration and found a mobile phone number field. I populated this for one user and "put" the data back but it doesn't appear in 1XP.

Can someone advise where this information is populated from and provide some links to setup/config please?
