When the customer opens One-x portal there getting the website security certificate warning and don't want to have to click the continue to website link, all the previous posts I'm reading are users having issues with one-x on server edition.

The question I have is this more of a Tomcat certificate issue...?

Just install a server certificate from a trusted certificate authority and the issue is gone.

Check the install or admin docs. I don't know how to do it on Windows because I only used server edition or application server.

One-X 9.1 on Window has a provision to import and install the certificates.

For Linux based deployments Web Control / Web Manager has mechanism to import and apply the certificate to all the applications.

I just recently did this, I just jumped into our app server, went to opt/avaya/vmpro/certificates and pulled the root ca. I had to jump through some hoops to get it as hyper v doesnt allow USB passthrough (atleast not that I could find). The avaya CentOS build is pretty limiting from an OOB OS standpoint. I took the easiest route, I mounted a smb windows share, chmod the cert file, moved into the windows share. From windows I changed the file permission again, and distributed among the office PC's. Then just locked everything back down on the avaya server. It was pretty easy, just finding out how limited the OS came from avaya was frustrating.

You don't need the root ca but a server specific certificate generated by a trusted ca.

There is a good reason for the limits of the AVAYA delivered Linux server. Nevertheless you can easily download needed files from the app server by starting a SFTP client like WinSCP on your Windows server.
