IP500 v9.1. Installed Application Server on Linux PC.

Clients getting CA Certificate warning on PC’s every time One-X Portal Call Assistant is opened.

During Application server install selected generate new certificate and downloaded the certificate ready to import to client browser.

On opening Avaya Call Assistant we get certificate trust error and option to apply the certificate. Once applied trust error still returns.

Thanks in advance

You'll have to install the root CA into your computer and some browser which do not rely on computer certificate bank (has FF)

It is not a browser problem. It is when the desk top integration app is opened, 'Avaya Call Assistant' when the problem occurs.

One-x Portal runs fine in a browser.

No. It doesn't use an embedded browser. It uses a simple browser window (no toolbars, no menus bars, etc) - its an easy trick to do in most web programming languages.

The difference may be that the call assistant windows uses whatever browser is the default browser on the PC, which may be different from the one the user uses for their normal browsing.

Chrome and IE share the same certificate stores. Firefox insists on being different for the hell of it (sorry, but Mozilla have wasted several hours of my week already before I was able to prove to a user that the error was only in his Firefox browser, not everyone elses browsers).

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
