Good afternoon,

Ever since upgrading to one-X Portal 8.0, we have been having some weird issues, the first, is that when users log into OXP, the message gadget is only showing "Checking Messages" and does not actually display the messages. This was never a problem with a prior version of OXP. I've completely reinstalled to try to fix this particular issue with no fix. When this was happening on the first release of 8.0, the users could sometimes log out, and back in, and the messages would be working.

I just recently upgraded to one-X Portal 8.0.103(31) and this same issue seems to be more permanent. Even after logging out and back in, it is still stuck on "Checking Messages" in the window.

In addition, and more recently with 8.0.103(31), now the users cant set or add a new profile definition. Features that they have available, ie power users, cant save any profile that is created and are prompted with the following message: "Mobile Twinning is not enabled in IP Office. Consult your administrator". A similar error occurs with other features such as Teleworker, etc.

I am running this on a windows server and not the application server. Should I be running the application server with VM Pro / OneX at this point? Has anyone else been experiencing these same issues?

Thanks

the apps server is for linux boxes only so unless you are harry potter i think you may struggle with that one :)

what browser are you running and have you run the fire wall batch file to open all your ports.?

Well yes, I would turn it into a Linux box if it came down to that, so that's not really a problem.

All browsers are running I.E 8 and never had an issue running these features before, firewalls are completely off on those boxes and the hosts can reach the open ports just fine.

These certainly seem to be software related issues, as my configuration has not changed in a long time. Its just concerning to see nobody else with the same problems.

Is IIS installed?
Does webvoicemail work?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

not heard of this and im running same version on windows 2008, just for the hell of it tick mobile twinning on all users in manager , try fire fox i always find it quicker with ONEx and you get less issues .

That is why i love the Linux apps.
No need to configure IIS and all other stuff where is depens on.
voicemail works fine and voicemail playback on the Android app works nice too.
Both failed on a Windows machine.

IIS is not installed and I have not used web voicemail or set it up as of yet. Is IIS required now for these features?

i have the apps working on windows. i did find they would not work until web VM was working on my VM server. once that worked all the apps worked too. I found that to get web VM to install you have to enable the CGI extensions in IIS or it would never install and start.

Very interesting, I will give this a shot and let you know how I make out.

Yo must install IIS before you install VMPro so you must reinstall it after installing IIS.

i would install IIS then do an repair on vmpro and onex , im not trying to be condesending but you have covered all the other pre reqs on KB and folllowed it step by step because as i have learnt its so easy to fall foul of a missed setting when you are clicking yes ...next ect, just double check for a sanity errm check , i often find that doing this after sitting back and regrouping sorts the problem out ...keep us posted.

No worries, I appreciate the tips, I am almost positive that I had this running when I first installed it, it's just not running right now. Not even sure how that happened. Everything was actually working fine until the upgrade.... so that's why I never thought about it, perhaps it was actually IIS that was turned off without my knowledge around the time of the upgrade.

I will let you know.

Thanks again.

it does depend on what you had and what you now have (obviously) as to what will just upgrade and what will kick you in the ass ...anyway best of luck
