HTC have released a new mobile phone called the One X - not going to cause any confusion with Avaya's One X mobile is it?

Well one-X is a registered trademark of Avaya's so I'd expect them to make moves on that.

I mean does anyone remember that there was an iPhone before the Apple iPhone? Don't hear about any of those guys anymore.

Avaya can't afford to go through court proceedings with big boys like HTC, besides I think it's "One-X" that Avaya have trademarked (hyphenated) a subtle but important difference

If Apple can block Tablet manufacturers selling in a country based on the premiss that is is "rectangular so it looks like ours"
Then I think the presence or lack of of a hyphen is not going to be considered significant.

Apple have lots of money, Avaya are over $6 billion in debt, I doubt anything will happen
