Hi everyone, I've got an issue with One-X mobile.
In China all mobile numbers begin with a 1 (eg, 13000000000). If calling from a mobile you just need to dial that number or of course you can add the international prefix (+86) infront. However if calling from a landline you can only dial the number directly if it is a local mobile. If it is from another city or province you have to add a leading zero. There is no indication in the number itself if it is a local mobile number.
I tried calling a non-local mobile through one-x mobile and was given the network message "please add a zero". If I add zeros to these numbers in my mobile phonebook I am unable to dial without using one-x mobile and am unable to send SMS messages at all. One way is to add the prefix 17951 before each long distance mobile number in my address book (this is China Mobile's cheap long distance code) and then program the IP office to recognize this and replace it with a zero. Then I can call and send SMS directly from the phone and also use one-x mobile. However, the problem will begin as soon as I leave China and put a different SIM card in - which I do frequently.
Other than creating 2 entries for each mobile number in my phonebook is there some way for the IP office to add a zero to non-local mobile numbers (some number or code that I can add as a prefix or suffix to the number in the phonebook that the IP office will pick up on and realise its a non-local mobile but the mobile network will ignore and dial the correct number as normal)? Or is there a way to get a voicemail menu every time I dial a mobile number through one-x mobile, asking me to press 1 for local and 2 for long distance?
Thanks in advance.
Greg.
