One-X Communicator click-to-call

Hi Everyone!!

Anyone out there have one-X Communicator set up and working properly? We have just installed it, and it does dial all the numbers that are listed in AD in E.164 format. The issuue I have is that if I click to call my boss for example, who sites in the cube right next ne, the 1XC dials the number in E.164 format (+1AAAEEEXXXX)instead of just dialing his extension. I'd prefer to dial his extension since it should be an internal call....why pay for it, right? Any ideas? Avaya told us AD has to have all the numbers in E.164 format, but what do I do about extension to extension click to call issues? Thanks!!!!!

I have this working in 5.2. In AD we have the field "Home" within the Telephone tab. Add this and then when you search in 1x comm for a user that number should appear.

I had my boss who sits right next to me test this out with me. I tried to add my extension to the 'Home' feild in my AD but it did not work the way I thought it would. The result was that my name could no longer be searched in my bosses' 1XC. If you wanted to look me up in 1XC you'd have to look up my 7 digit extension. Then once you find me, and click to call me, its still calling me as +1973xxx-xxxx instead of callimg my 7 digit extension and keeping the call internal. How exactly did you set up the Home feild? Thanks!

I literally just added the 4 digit extension numbers into each persons AD account and these show when searching. Have you also set the "Extension length for internal extension calls" field in the dialling rules to match your extension length?

Hi,

I added the 7 digit extension to the Home feild on AD. In communicator I already had 7 as the 'Extension legnth for internal extension calls' but when my boss clicks my name in 1XC, its still dialing my full number. It is not giving him any options to call me on my cell or other numbers. Is there anyplace else that I need to make a change that you can think of? Thanks so much!!
