HI

I'm implementing Avaya One-x Agent and looking to setup the directory.

I understand where i can make the settings etc but i need to know where i can find the following settings on my CM

Server address (which Ip do i use)
Username (again which one to use)
Password (will know this from my username)
Search root ?
Port ?
Timeout ?
Max tries ?
Bind Option ?

Thanks

That's not CM, that's an LDAP server like Active Directory. A tool like Softerra LDAP Browser works well - if you know your ADs FQDN, it can login automagically with your Windows session credentials, and then you can look yourself up to see. Username is CN - so like, CN=multyhehe,OU=techsupport,DC=yourcompany,DC=com. Search root would be like the string before, but minus a level or 2 so name searches look in dc=yourcompany,dc=com for example. Port is 389 unsecure, 636 secure, and leave the last few options default.

You can either have everyone use CN=theiruserID or make a read-only AD account internally and use it for each PC - like CN=OneXAgentLDAPaccount.

Basically, it'll search for phone numbers as stored in LDAP home and let you dial them. Dialing rules in One-X Agent and ARS/UDP in the PBX should be all in order to make sure it all works nicely.
