We have a site which has just begun experiencing a one-way media path issue. It's an IPO 406 at version 4.0.10 Rebooting the IPO clears up the problem for a few hours, or possibly a day. H323 call setup and alerting works fine, in both directions. This site is in an 8 site MPLS network, and has worked well on the network for years. It has 30 VCMs, which are working. What filter(s)would I enable in Sysmonitor "system\development tracing" to log this issue? Thanks for any suggestions.

how is your network / MPLS configured
almost sounds like a NAT timeout issue.
not sure what filters to enable off the top of my head
has direct media path been enabled on the IP lines by mistake?

So you replaced the ipo that is running on crap software for another ipo with the same crappy software ?
Or did you put in a better release ?

Sorry I missed your post. I'd tried to upgrade this box, twice in the past, and always ran into a problem, that caused it to crash, when the IP phones out on external networks began to register. After downgrading back to 4.0 it would function normally again. So in order to upgrade to a version of 4.2 we purchased a replacement 406 and did an upgrade on it, and put it in place. This time the upgrade didn't cause any crashes. We also stopped experiencing the one-way talk path issues. So we replaced both the box, and upgraded to a Q3-09 software level.
HSM weren't using NAT

Then i think your "old" 406 was not that good anymore.
