We have just upgraded an Option 61C to CS1K M single group rel 5.5 and configured IP peer networking on it. The network consists of two Option 11C's (also upgraded to CS1k 5.5) and 15 Bcm's all at rel 4.0.

The issue the customer is experiencing is that the main site (61C) cannot reach the other sites and vie versa. What happens is when a call is placed from the main site no ring back tone is heard in the receiver but the phone rings at the far end and when the call is connected one way speech path is established i.e the far end can hear but nothing is heard at the main site.

The CPPM SS is a dual slot card and we also have a MC32S card.

The simplest problem that normally happens is one of your devices has the wrong gateway ip address in it, generally one of your dsp devices.

check all the tlan gateway ip adresses configured on ur devises.

If configuration is ok, then ensure PEPs are up to snuff across the board. Say again ensure PEPS are up to snuff - especially SS and Core.

Had similar issue with CS1000M M/G and CSE1000E

is this also true with calls between opt11s or just between 61 and one of the option 11s?

if you see where i'm going with this - you can narrow down location of problem by testing to and from multiple end points

Ok thanks guys for all the suggestions and I did find where the problem was, MC32S card had a duplicate IP address programmed on the DSP TLAN IP address. Once I changed it everything worked fine.......

THANKS!
