I have IP Office release 8 with three Ip phone 30 module installed. I have installed some hardphone (9641G) at some remote site using VPN. I am facing one way voice issue.The remote hardphone voice is OK but the local user voice to remote phone is dead, Any help. Local phone within office (all analog phones) communicating OK.

one more query is that My control unit Firmware is 8 and the Phone 30 module firmware is 10.0. Is that the correct combination of firmware??? can that be the cause of one way communications?

Try unchecking direct media on the 9641G extension, or check the VPN routing configuration. The firmware on the modules in older releases is always 2 higher than the control unit firmware, so that is normal.
 
Make sure H.323 transformations is disabled on both routers.
 
Direct media path option toggling not working. NAT already disabled. still struggling...
The IT guy opened a ticket with Fortinet TAC and the responded with below remarks after wireshark capture review


1) But I Couldn't see any H225 Logical channel parameters from VPN Client and Hence server doesn't know where to send the RTP traffic.

Kindly check it with Voip Team that why Avaya VPN phone doesn't send any H225 Logical channel parameters to pabx.

Can somebody help with other tips?
 
What if you dial from vpn phone to another vpn phone and dial voicemail *17? Do you get 2 Way audio or hear the voice mail prompts?
 
VPN to VPN communication is OK. I can also hear voicemail prompt. I also hooked a IP phone to IPO LAN2 port directly and checked but the issue is still same, analog extension can hear IP user voice but IP user cannot hear analog/digital extension call.
 
Problem resolved after changing the VCM32 card.
