I have two 3300 controllers set up with IP trunking. The issue is I am only getting one way audio. I don't even hear ringing. The other end can see the call and answer and hear me.

the scenario includes the fact that we are using a VPN tunnel. Also using different versions of software. Release 5.2.6.8 at the one end and 5.2.4.4 at the other

Any ideas ?

make sure that you have got a router setup in the dhcp options form

Firstly make sure that you can ping or even connect to the Mitel 3300 system from the remote site, you need to make sure that you have the routing in place.

You also need to have the same software running on both sites, should still work with different software however Mitel will recommend that you have the same.

Check the default gateway of both Mitel's are pointing to the routers that are connected to the VPN.

After all this if you go to the Maintenance command and type in st xnet all is it showing that the link has been established?

all,

Thanks for the replies. The issue was that there was port blocking one way, hence the one way audio.

The firewall engineers rectified their side and voila! we have two way comms.
