We recently had to swap out an IPO 412 running 5.0.26 software with a new 412. The new 412 was at 3.2 so we had to upgrade it to 5.0.26 before we could upload the backup from the defective 412.

Ever since we did the upgrade the customer is complaing of one intermittent way audio problems on their VoIP phones only. Most of the system has digital phones and those users have no problem.

Any clues?

Thanks!

What caused it to become defective? I am thinking if was a power surge due to lightning etc perhaps the switches were also effected :)

The 412 had about half of the expansion ports go bad, Yes I think it might have been lightning.
I dont think its the switches because they ran several days with the half crippled 412 and the IP phones did not have an issue UNTIL we replaced it with the new 412.

Did you use the old vcm card?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I sure did... do you think one of them is NG? (there were 2 of them, a vcm 8 and a vcm 16)

After a lightning strike you should replace all.
It was in direct contact so it is damaged.

Yes, installing a 500 is the plan, we just needed to get them back up & running ASAP, so we swapped it out with another 412 for now.
