I have a progam that was written in 97 access. With this program using access 97 one icon is used on the task manager, every time a form get open. The task on the task manger get is replaced with the new form. In access 2002 a new task is added to the task manager if a command button is clicked on a form to open a new form. Is there is way in access 2002 to prevent a task being addeed to the task manger for each form each form that is opend, like it did in access 97?

Thanks for this replay. However I am not sure what your are saying. Can you please explan further? I will try to explan my problem more clearly. I am modifying an access application\database that was written in access 97. When using this application in access 97, for each form that is opened there is only one task on the task manager - meaning the task on the task manger is replaced with the most current form. The applciation/database was coverted to access 2002 now for every form within that applaiction/database that is opened a new task is added to the task Manger. Resulting in several icon on the task manger instead of one. My question is, Is there a way to enable the access application/database to maintain one task on the task Manger with the current form that gets opened?

On the Access menu choose Tools.
Then choose Options.

On the View tab, unset the option for 'Show Windows in the Taskbar'

Thanks a Million this works!!
