One server - Two langauges

Hi All,

I'm trying to find out if it's possible to have two sets of users, one using German and one using English to connect to the same Citrix Servers and get the applications/windows localised to their language, or do i need to dedicate a server per language.

I'm not looking for a solution here, just if it's possible.

Are you talking only Citris in two languages ? Then presentation server has English and German as default and user can change their choice.
You cannot have two languages on one server operating system (ex: operating system will reply in one language when there is printing problem) BUT you can have application in two languages installed (example: MS office) on one server if you install the application TWO TIMES in different languages (ex: MS office german and MS office english) in two different folder. BUT normally, installing application which is different language from operating system is not suggested.

Thanks for the response, i'm looking to localise the system for the users, so if a German user logs into the system they get all the desktop and appliations in German, and vice versa if an English user logs in.

From what i'm reading you need to be using Office XP/2003 to be able to switch langauges for Office and you need the Multilingual Interface for Windows 2000 installed.

I'd appreciate any other pointers on this one.

If you install MUI on server, then you will need English and German version of MS office in different folders installed. We have published "Word EN", Word FR and Word IT and depends on user, we gave their version BUT time to time have hit bugs as using MS alone in one language is already buggy !
