One second pause for dialing/paging not working 2

I've got an IP500v2 on 9.1.5 - working with simultaneous paging. I have a page port out to a WMT-1A and into the page port input on a Bogen PCM and I can page just fine with the following short code:

*997
Dial Paging
308

However we have multiple paging zones here and I'm trying to find a way to insert the 00 needed for an All Page. I've tried

*997
Dialing Paging
308,,00

and

308D00

With no luck. I tried setting up a short code for just dialing my cell and the 1 second pause doesn't seem to be working at all. Anyone experience this on one of the newer releases?

The other thing I noticed is when using a trunk port, using 00, 01, 02 for the zones works just fine. However coming off the page port into a WMT-1A, I have to insert a proceeding digit before I can dial a zone. So I have to dial the short code, then do 000

We had a car dealership with the same setup, wanting to be able to use Zone Paging over the loudspeakers, and simultaneous paging of phones and all loudspeaker zones. There is an override jack on the PCM that will do all loudspeaker zones, but it requires a contact closure to accomplish. Here's what we came up with adding a Bogen UTI-1 to create the contact closure and interface to a station port programmed as a page port

Wow! I had no idea what the override port was used for - thought it was exclusively for programming the controller. Hooked the page port up to that and it works like a freaking champ!

Thanks Tommy!

Hm, may have spoken too soon. It "works" - but right now when the paging system is idle I'm getting a constant "thudding" sound. It sounds as if someone is intermittently breathing into a handset. Going to play with it a little bit, but wondering if someone has seen that particular issue.

We're connected like this:

Page Port -> WMT-1A -> Override on Bogen Telephone Interface Module

Only thing I've heard reports of are having to leave a page port offhook while power cycling the IP Office. I'm hoping I don't need to do that as the customer's in service now.

Thanks!

Which pins are you connected to on the Override port? You'll notice that the center pins are for a single line telephone, the pins straddling that are contact closure, and the outer pins are the audio input.

I have just the middle pins for tip/ring right now. I'm checking out to see what I can do about getting a UTI-1 and using that to interface between. It sounds like the IPO isn't closing the loop on the override port so it's just staying open. I'm not able to use paging over the trunk port while it's plugged in, so that would explain it.

Gonna get my hands on a UTI-1 and give that a shot. Thanks for all the help!

The 2 center pins are for a SINGLE LINE TELEPHONE, or a trunk port from the IPO, so it's the WMT-1A transformer is keeping it off hook.

You can't add a trunk port to a paging group for simultaneous paging, that's why you need to use an analog station programmed as a paging port, but connected to pins 1 and 6 of the 6-pin override jack, then you need the UTI or some other VOX-actuated relay to provide the contact closure across pins 2 and 5 of the 6-pin override jack.

Again, thanks for the help Tommy!

What I meant with my previous post was that when I had a station port connected to the Override on the PCM-TIM, paging out of the trunk port stopped working entirely.

Just for follow up/solution purposes, I went out there with a Bogen UTI-1 like you designed in your picture and everything worked great. I used the WMT-1 to isolate the impedance rather than the resistor since I already had it, but will try out the resistor method next time as it's smaller and a lot cheaper.

Cheers!
