Hi everybody,

we are having a storage server with a large diskpool - many users are storing their data there. Most of the data is backed up in a reasonable pace but one area is not. This is not a hardware problem, it is due to the kind of data which is stored there.

What I would like to achieve is:
- for these 8 policies backing up the "slow data" I would like to use "one policy per client",
- for all other policies (26 in total) I would like to not restrict the amount of parallel running jobs.

Is there a possibility to give the "slow data" policies a different client name for backups?

Thanks in advance,

Steph

You would be better off using same client hostname and setting up exclude lists for two different policies in /usr/openv/netbackup/exclude_list.<policy name>
