Hi everybody,
I am going to do my first time presentation in PP and I would like each paragraph in the particular slide to appear one after another after clicking a mouse.
I wonder:
1.How this feature is named in PP?
2.What steps should I take to conduct it?

Thank you in advance,

Iren

Hi,

Each paragraph (text box) on a separate slide.

Or for short paragraphs, like a list, you can use animation to display each subsequent item, with the entrance method of your choice.

Hi,
This is called Custom Animation, and in PPT 2003, it is available on its own Task Pane.
..Bring up the task pane (View/Task Pane and select from the drop down arrow).
..Select the text frame with your bulleted points.
..Click the Add Effect button.
..Select Entrance.
..Select your animation (it will be previewed).
..Back onthe Task Pane, select the speed and how it will appear (mouse click or automatic).
..Test it and make whatever adjustments.

Hope this helps!

Blue Horizon, thank you for your response. I have 2002. However I took Task pane from VIew, as you said. Then I choosed Design icon, Animation Schemes->appear.
It works perfect : paragraph after paragraph.
However, it effects just paragraph and does not effect sub paragraphs. For example:
OBJECTIVES

PRESENTATION WILL SHOW:
Introduction
Latest news

So Introduction and Latest news are not effected . Is it possible to involve them once i a time?

Thank you!

Iren

steeings? Do you mean
settings?

Just kidding.

1. Put the text in a textbox. Either bulleted, or not. You can use Tab to make either sub-bullets, or indents.

2. Select textbox and then Sile Show > Custom Animation

3. Select Add Effect button on Task Pane

4. Select Entrance, and then select Appear. You may have to scroll through More effects... to find Appear

5. Select the dropdown arrow on the new Shape in the Task Pane, and then select Effect Options

6. Select the Text Animation tab, and then make Group text: By 1st level paragraphs

OR

look in Help. Type "paragraphs" into Help, then pick the Help topic......."Animate text by paragraphs".

Help is quite useful.
