Here is the question

You would have to enable in 13h support on an SCSI controller card in order to utilize which one of the following devices?

Scanner
Tape Device
Bernoulli
Bootable CD-ROM

It gives the answer as the Bootable CD-ROM with the following explanation

The boot loader can use interrupt Int 13h calls to find and load the kernel of the system and any other files needed to boot on SCSI hard drives.

I'm totally confused. All I really knew about Int 13h was the use of the extensions to break the old HD size barriers. I've read a few articles on int 13h and have found nothing regarding bootable CD-ROMs. Is this question fubar? Would I see anything like this on the actual exams?

BTW this wouldnt be the first question off base in this particular test bank (certblaster from Course Technologies)

MoneyDukes,

It seems that the question is worded in a confusing way.

In order to install an OS (from a bootable CD-ROM) on a hard drive that requires 13h, you'd need to enable 13h on the SCSI controller that connects to the hard drive.

Note that a lot of the exam questions are simply a process of elimination. None of the other answer choices make any sense.
