have a customer with a magix, not sure of release yet, with 5 lines going to auto attendant immediately, one of the five doesnt actually get the AA. You get the "Please hold while you call is transfered" or whatever that message actaully says and then transfers to the operator. Am I missing something that needs to be programmed that can be different on a per line basis? I have AA1 answering all 5 of those lines, all the lines ring HG770. What else is there? I dont get to mess with the magix that often, and when I do, its hard to remember the backword programming versus the partner system. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like the one line is not set to be answered by the AA. Depending on your voicemail calling group (usually 770) - check under extentions, more, group calling, line/pool - and keyin 770 and press enter - and then press inspect to see if all lines are listed. If you are in Hybrid/PBX mode - a pool will be listed instead. If so - make sure the problem line is included in the pool covered by voicemail.

I have checked that and it is a pool, pool 70, and has all 5 lines assigned to it. all the lines in the pool ring 770. any other possible things that would cause this?

Well then - it should work. You can do some experimentation: remove the line from the pool temporarily - and assign it directly to 770. Call and see if the AA answers. If so - remove it from 770, put it back in Pool 70 - and try the call again.

It could just be a glitch in the original pool assignment.

Please hold while you call is transfered"

Isn't that what you get when a call is answered by a voice mail port without receiving mode codes?

I'd check to see if the voice mail ports have any lines assigned to them.

Do a print of each one of them, look for weird things.

check in voicemail to make sure line is assigned or assigned somewhere else (?)

Do a printout of your lines/trunks (from WinSPM)- and see if there is anything different about that line's configuration.
