We have a Norstar system, and I want one number to ring to five extensions. I was planning on assinging an Incoming line and having the incoming line appear and ring on the five extensions i want it to appear on.

I'm assuming the above methond will work, but i was wondering if there is a better way to do it. Also, where will it go to voicemail. I'd like to enforce the call go to a specific voice mail box if no one answers. How can i do that?

Thanks

Using the above set-up the call will go to voicemail in a somewhat random selection to any one of the phones that ring.

the method to get around that is to go ahead and have the line appear/ring on the phones but have an auto-attendent answer 1 ring ahead of the call forward/dont answer setting in terminals and sets.

alternativly if you have a system newer than 4.0 and are using greater than 2 digit extentions then you can create a hunt group with these phones as members to broadcast ring only. then overflow the hunt group to voicemail at 15 or 30 seconds to a mailbox number that is the same number as the dn of the hunt group.

If voting could really change things, it would be illegal.
