One more question...about Cropping

Hello again. As you can tell, I am new to Illustrator and I want to know how to crop part of a piece of artwork (scanned in and come from Photoshop) especially with having round corners or as a circle?

Like you see portfolio thumbnails on some peoples websites.

Also how can I create a black/coloured line to go around it (as a border)?

...clipping masks or pathfinder are the areas you will need to explore...

The larger box outlined in blue, in the background, is the overall picture, the green border is a clipping shape with a stroked colour...

...both elements where selected with the rounded shape on top of the image and then went to object > clipping mask > make...
