one mailbox for dual users profiles

I have two users one who accesses mail from the exchange Here is my question, the security group has its own distrobution email inbox that can be added through outlook through outlook and adding that mailbox to one specific user. Now the one who currently has the security mailbox added is the user who is set up through exchange. Can they both use the same box simultenously? Everytime I try to add the security mailbox the other user's email profile I get an error. Why is this?

Yes, they should both be able to have access to a common mailbox, assuming that the permissions are correct.

Can you clarify the "security group has its own distrobution email inbox" bit, and post the error message you get when you try to add the mailbox
